What we need right now
Love is the driving force behind almost everything in our lives; love for other people, love for your country, for the things you do, which also includes work! However, when combined with work, we suddenly find the word love a bit complicated.
Ancient languages, such as Sanskrit, Ancient Greek, and many Indian languages including Hindi, have many more words for love; words that also fit well with love in a business context. That’s why I would like to challenge you to look at the word differently and to use the word differently, even though our vocabulary is limited when it comes to love. I dare you to place it at the centre of your business. Let love guide you as you work with and from it.
I wrote the book Love@work to invite you to do so, because I believe in love as a motivating force that gives us direction in every situation, and thus also in the business world. In the Netherlands, where the book was born, in India, where the English version came to be, and anywhere in the world. Because everyone, everywhere, knows that with love, you can make a difference. Honestly, isn’t that exactly what we need right now?
